ABOUT US
Hi, I'm Mariel Vuorinen, a restaurateur from Mexico, and the owner of Taconito restaurant. Taconito is born from my love for authentic Mexican flavors and culture. I wanted to bring a piece of my home country to Finland and offer authentic Mexican flavors on the other side of the globe in Turku.
We opened the restaurant in 2013 in Turku, and since then we have tried to bring traditional Mexican recipes within the reach of Finns. Our restaurant is known for its relaxed atmosphere and delicious tacos, burritos and Nito bowls.
Our goal is to offer each of our customers an unforgettable taste experience. In our restaurant, Mexican tradition and Finnish hospitality meet, and we are proud that I can share the food culture of my home country with our customers in Turku, Finland.

SALSA
Various salsas are the cornerstones of Mexican cuisine. There are hundreds of different salsas and every Mexican restaurant has its own secret recipe. This also applies to us and we recommend tasting Salsa Moro.
The name Moro comes from our grandfather who owned a small hacienda in Mexico a long time ago. We make all our salsas daily from fresh ingredients. We use traditional Mexican recipes
TORTILLA
Soft fresh corn tortillas have been used in Mexico for centuries. Tortilla mass is made from corn flour and water. After this, the mass is made into round tortillas that are fried on a hot griddle. A fresh tortilla is always soft. We only use GMO-free corn flour in our corn tortillas.
We use 100% Finnish meat in our restaurant. We do not use semi-prepared or frozen products. The fillings and vegetables are always fresh and prepared daily in our restaurant
